the GB content should be broken up into categories for easier use and control of content.

such as...

Hardware
Software
Installations (successful and correct)
Error Messages and Fixes
Tweaks and Optimization

the official categories would be moderator modifiable only.

HOWTOS (and miscellaneous caca) would be submitted at the top level of the GB, then moved after evaluation or evidence that they are correct and authoritative to the correct category and locked.

if by some chance a person finds a mistake, or a change is needed. a pm to the author, or a mod, or a pm from the author to a mod, would be used to re-open that post for editing.

They should have a genius bar for iPods with two categories, (1) hardware problems, (2) retards.

I completely agree with quixos.  It would make finding that one solution I forgot last the time I had to install OSX86 alot easier.  I can never remember the exact key phrase I used in the Forum Search.
