quixos
there should be one area of the forums that should be as clean and well organized as an surgery, the Genius Bar area. my suggestion is this... if something doesn't belong in the GB area, either move it, no link to its new home neccesary, or delete it. five of the following posts are taking up big time space in the first page of GB. using common sense and brutality, 4 should simply be deleted and 1 moved. OSX86 on a HP? Dell Inspiron 2200... installation help Install 10.4.4 maxxus GHO How to write '@' ? Atheros wifi wirking on 10.4.5! a deleted cry for help is not an insult, it is an opportunity, to think twice, to refine. i myself am an editing fool. a "moved" link is a waste of space, and a waste of precious time for those scanning for information they need or want quickly. Colonel
I agree. This site needs a good clean up. There's alot of threads with small questions and they get answered with one reply. Then they just sit there and eat up disk space on the server. If we could get rid of alot of those one sentance and real simple quesion threads I think we could get this place nice and clean. We should also try not to post something because we simply don't know. People should search the forum for their question's answer before starting a whole new thread. Even then, I don't think it should be in the Genius Bar unless it's something that will really benefit the OSx86 community. Something like How-to's and Guides should be in the Genius Bar, not things like "I can't boot" or something like that. If we cleaned it up, it would help people's search results be more accurate and help them find their answer faster.

Colonel
You're right. I didn't check when it was made. Sorry about that. And good luck cleaning the site, Quixos!
quixos
haven't started yet. and, don't expect my presence in the bar to ensure genius posting.
Ouch
I had a habit of moving topics and leaving the link in there for a couple of days then deleting it but i haven't looked in ages. Perhaps the genius bar should be read only and we could move worthy topics in there? [edit] I mass pruned the old moved to: links out of the genius bar but i don't have time to check the actual guides to see what's worthwhile, quixos i'll leave that to you and can i add my thanks for helping us out on the genius bar front as it is a bit of a misused space at the moment.
