Nevermind :), Turned off/on the computer. It boots now. (normally i try booting from F8 at the bios screen (not darwin), but that doesn't work now)

Sweet? So it boots to the desktop?

What are your machine's specs? SSE2 or 3?

How is it working?

Just a heads up for people who already got [Link removed due to possible DMCA violation] 3.33 GB file sitting on their desk. There is a 200 MB PPF patch available [Link removed due to possible DMCA violationl] making it the exact same iso as the one everyone is trying to download right now.....

So will this patch allow us to patch the 10.4.3 Restore dmg DVD? :)

I am downloading myzar's version.. but it doesn't seem to be meant for the Restore dmg..

Yes, it boots to the desktop but I have pretty much compatible hardware.

Intel Pentium D 830 (SSE2/3 + PAE + XD)

Asus P5LD2-V Series (GMA 950 / ICH7)

My guess is that would be a question for another thread (preferably its own).

Not trying to put the smack, but I administer a forum myself, so maybe i'm just still feeling admin-like ;-)

Note 2: It boots in verbose mode by default, meaning you

see a lot of commandline output during bootup. If you

don't like this, remove '-v' from the kernel flags string

in the file:

/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.Boot.plist

I found this @ piratebay :)

So no new thread needed I think ;).

and i set the timer in the file to '1'.

I hate to be bumping here, but I'm not looking forward to an all-night downloading run if I can't keep my apps and settings...

Does anyone know if this will upgrade an existing 10.4.3 native install, or if it will wipe it out completely?
