According to the 10.5.2 HCL (http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.ph...10.5.2#Wireless), the Linksys WMP54G 4.0 PCI wireless card will work with the RT2500 drivers (http://www.ralinktech.com/ralink/Home/Support/Macintosh.html)

However, the ralink page states that this driver only works on 10.3/10.4

I ran the install anyway and sure enough, my card still doesnt show up. Does anyone have any other information about this? Or could someone point me to drivers that work?

Thanks,

Simon

There's an RaLink site in Taiwan that has updated drivers for 10.5, that's the good news. The bad news is that they didn't actually update the critical piece. It's the same as the 10.3/10.4 binary and it still doesn't work. The best you can hope for is you can get the utility to detect your card and even send a few packets back and forth. I managed to get mine to authenticate to the wireless network, as have other people. But it's useless for anything else after that.

Then there is the guy who wrote dirvers for the RT2500 USB adapters that work, said he would write PCI/miniPCI ones, and was never heard from again. That was 15 months ago. There's some discussion about it in the XLabs forum under XScripts.

As far as I know nobody has been able to get a PCI wireless adapter with an RT2500 to work on Leopard 10.5. Welcome to the club.
