**FIXED!** Wacom Bamboo - Not working :(

A couple of months ago I came onto this forum complaining that my Wacom Bamboo was not working on Leopard.

It would work without drivers in mouse mode, but would freeze up after driver installation. A lot of people were having issues with an old driver not being compatible with

10.5.2, but it was apparent that my issue was separate.

After a lot of re-reinstalling drivers, double checking the removal of kext's and having an intimate knowledge of the Preference files, I now know what was causing the problem.

The USB bus on my motherboard is underpowered!

This was easily solved by adding a inexpensive, POWERED usb hub to my system. I can't believe it was that straight forward. I have to strongly point out that I mean a mains powered (wall-wart) hub.- not a passive splitter. I had to come back here and tell everyone as I know that a lot of people are understandably at the end of their tether.

If anyone stumbles upon this post and it helps them out, please let us all know in a reply below!
