DHCP Problems with Belkin wireless

I installed a belkin wifi F5D7050 USB stick using Ralink drivers for the RT2870 on OS X 10.5.2 (kalyway) and whilst it worked initially and I was able to connect to networks I am now having trouble obtaining IP addresses from DHCP. It just stopped - and now it won't no matter what I try!

If I assign an IP manually it still works just fine regardless of the wifi network being encrypted or not. But I need it to be able to use DHCP as I only know appropriate IP settings for my home network and nothing else :P

Any suggestions? I've tried both of the Ralink drivers on the net; the ones for the RT2870 are for 10.4 .5 and the other set is mostly 10.3 and .4 but both work with the chipset in this stick.

Ok, a few crashes and reboots later and seems to be working fine again... the onboard ethernet has appeared and magically started working too. ;) I'd share any useful information but there isn't any, it all just started working again...
