this may be the same problem which a lot of vaio users are currently having. only the external display working right?

if you want to uninstall the driver, you have to remove all nv files. you could use the script provided by leo4allv2 (removeVideo) script. this will do everything for you. if you can access graphical mode, use the external monitor and then excecute removeVideo script from eddie. if not, boot up with -s and delete all nv files manually.

lol that's not that easy... editing nvcap values isn't that easy ^^ so do you get a black screen even when the hdmi cable is not connected????

do you have the problem since you installed the new video driver???

The NVCAP is a string inside the info.plist of NVinject.kext, or any other injecter you're using.

You have to find the good one, you'll find more infos here NVinject NVCAP, there's also a tool to directly read the good value from a BIOS image here

thank you for helping

im quite new to this so im unsure how to do what uve told me

without being annoying could you tell me how?

edit# yeh id be happy to go back to how it was b4

ah ok so thats no problem. when darwin bootloader appears, hit any key to enter bootparameters. (a bootparameter is like -v etc). then instead of just entering -v you add -s, so this gives you -v -s :)

then it will take about 15-20 seconds. now you will need to enter the two commands displayed in the console. (there should be writtin something like, if you want to make modifications type blabla. just type what is written on your screen. (just 2 lines))

now enter:

1.sudo -s

2.your password

3.cd /

4../options

5.hit 1 & enter

6.choose nvidia

7.hit enter

8.reboot.

hope this helps, tell me if it worked! :D

ok but i guess we need exact information about your notebook.

you can change the keyboard layout in system preferences -> keyboard layout --> keyboard menu. then you need to scroll down and select the preffered layout. i got UK in the list.

hope this helpes

ps: if nvinstaller doesnt work, try nvinject, i found it to be working much better on my vaio :censored2:

you should get a new icon on your apple toolbar just on the left of your systems clock. there you have to set the new layout...

im sorry to tell ya, you got no chance for the internal display to work. this is a known issue and there is currently no fix for this.
