sohosources Posted April 26, 2008 Share Posted April 26, 2008 Hi, gang: Just built a budget hack (my first) around a GA-945GCM-S2C, which is working nicely. I have an oddity, though, which is frustrating my attempts to use this as an OSX / XP box -- the ENCORE ENLGA-1320 NIC (8169 family) works as a Gb NIC out of the box in OSX 10.5.2. Kaly, but in XP on the same hardware (separate HD), the thing only connects to my Gb switch in 100-Mb mode. This makes transfers to and from my file server painfully slow... To be fully useful, I need XP to be Gb...
