xeongx Posted April 20, 2008 Share Posted April 20, 2008 Hello, None of the osx86 releases recognize my Sata HDD, I tried plugging a 4GB old IDE drive and it detects it. Now I was wondering if I buy a SATA to IDE convertor from ebay to make my computer think my SATA hard drive is an IDE hard drive. Are these convertors compatible with osx86 releases? Mr. Harrison Posted April 21, 2008 Share Posted April 21, 2008 I've discovered that I had the same problem when I bought a fat 500 GB SATA drive and Installer didn't see it. If its a hardware only adapter like a USB to PS/2 mouse adapter and doesn't require extra drivers to work, then my guess is it should work.
