itschadwhitaker
Hello. I finally got past installing Leopard on my AMD computer. I used the Kalyway Leopard 10.5.2 install DVD. I now have almost everything working besides the sound. I have two different sound cards: 1. On board Asus M2n-SLI Deluxe, which runs HD SoundMax ADI AD1988B 8 channel Codec 2. Creative SB X-Fi Xtreme Audio 70SB104000000 7.1 Channels PCI Express When I open "sounds" in system preferences, it shows no output devices found ( http://bayimg.com/OajPeAaBG ) Any way to install drivers to get either sound cards to work? I prefer to have the soundblaster (#2) to work. But I mainly just want sound Thank you for your help.
A Hamster
You cannot use the SB X-Fi, no drivers for it (trust me, i want it as much as you do.) For the HD Soundmax: AppleHDA, go down to: How to use AppleHDA Patcher:Drag and drop a linux codec dump into AppleHDA Patcher icon Some of them, can be found here: http://psykopat.free.fr/apple/AppleHDA/ Go to that psykopat.free.fr site, click the ADI folder, save the AD1988B.txt file. Then dump it into the AppleHDA Patcher.
