Full Version: Kernel Panic after install

Hi,

I installed Kalyway 10.5.1 with EFI MBR bootloader, and both vanilla kernel options, as that guide says, and I get a kernel panic and can't get into Leopard.
Also, after I erased the Leopard partition (before installing Leopard in it), my Windows XP partition was just disappeared from the Disk Utility, and all the softwares I try show that my XP partition is an UNPARTITIONED SPACE!

Also, when booting XP DVD, it says it didn't find any XP installations.

I'm sure there's an easy fix for that, but don't know how to fix it.

Also, what about the kernel panic?
Why is it happening?

I didn't install any other kexts than the efi_bootloader_mbr and both of the Vanilla kernel options.

Some system info would be good. Plz resize your images next time.

Sorry, I just hoped that TinyPic's resizer will make it better.

My system:

GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3R
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600
Kingston 2GB 667Mhz
Western Digital 320GB HDD
Sapphire ATI Radeon HD2400XT 512MB

I've already dual-booted iATKOS with Vista, and also iATKOS with XP, but with Kalyway I can install Graphics Card driver, EFI and Vanilla kernel with a simple guide.

I think that you can learn about the cause of the problem by reading the text written on the picture I uploaded, but I don't understand anything about it. :/

Update:

Installed again, without doing a boot fix, and it worked like a charm. smile.gif

My Windows XP partition is still missing, though..
