Full Version: x40 Hangs After Boot when not in Dock

This is super weird, and I am a definite noob so my depth of knowledge is non-existent.

I installed Kalyway 10.5.1 with no problems and everything is working well when my x40 is plugged into its dock (Ultrabase); when I attempt to boot the computer by itself it will load the OS, but then slow down to a crawl. It does not show the system time. I feel like that has something to do with it.

Any ideas?? I cannot even open up the console to check on what is happening.

Ok, so it has nothing to do with the clock. It is the power cord.

When it is plugged in it works fine, but without it, it is painfully slow.

Fixed, I am an idiot. I forgot about the Speedstep on the PM so I set the BIOS to automatically apply on battery power as opposed to maximum battery performance. Works like a charm!
