It's very simple, download the resources from the HUD thread. Overwrite them in your English.lproj (or whichever is your system's default language) folder in /System/Library/CoreServices/loginwindow.app/Contents/Resources. If you're still incapable of performing this simple task, you can find an installer here.

In the future, ask these types of questions in the appropriate thread.

Is the dock part of the theme? It looks pretty cool. I have bunch of tweakers for the dock but none of them change the shape of the dock ... just color.
If it's a tweaker or something, could you please share it?

Have you ever heard of Candybar?

It's an incredibly easy Dock/Icon changing app for Mac, and I think the full version comes preinstalled with the Kalyway 10.5.2 DVD.

It's really awesome and you can easily change docks with it...

That's the best app I know for doing stuff like that.

Candy Bar can be found at the Icon Factory

Another free alternative if you only want to change the dock is Dock Library

How do you get the semi-transparent windows? I'm sure my "About this Mac" did it once but none of the rest of the windows do. I have NVInject installed.

I have about this mac working with no crash on 10.5.4 huh.gif All I really did was use the vanilla SMBIOS 10.5.4 along with the AppleSMBIOSEFI.kext by Chun-Nan, and then I also installed AppleACPIPlatform.kext from karaakeha1's installer guide thread to fix Restart issues, but that's about it. I think what you need is the vanilla SMBIOS and SMBIOSEFI.kext smile.gif Hope that helps...

Karvastor,

I do remember that I had GIMP working on 10.3.2, no problems at all. All you really need is X11...

Tell me, pcwiz.. do you have a Pentium 4 or early Celeron D that you have tested this method out on? I have tried just about every SMBIOS out there and nothing has worked to date. I'm pretty sure its a cpuid issue that nobody has bothered to patch in loginwindow...
~pcwiz
No, don't have any P4s or Celeron's, I do have a Pentium D machine but I only ran 10.4.10 on that one...Have you tried AppleSMBIOSEFI.kext in combination with the vanilla AppleSMBIOS.kext? Dunno if you have to patch cpuids or anything but its worth a try...

EDIT: Also, are you saying that it NEVER worked in Leopard for you or is it just 10.5.4? If it worked in an earlier version I guess you could try copying over loginwindow.app to 10.5.4.

I thought so. I'm pretty sure its a Prescott issue... and yes I've tried the SMBIOSEFISHITTYCRAP.kext and all that fun stuff...

Yes, About This Mac has never worked for me on Leopard....

Lol is there really an SMBIOS called that?

Hey,
I use Netkas's SMBIOS with Chameleon or PC_EFIv8 Bootloader.
I must install an EFI bootloader to correct the crash issues I found With logonwinow app .
