hey guys i'd like to change my hard drive icons but the little get info command-v thing isnt working for me. maybe im doing it wrong. can anyone help me out?

You've got to click on the icon in the upper left corner, it should be highlighted in blue, then past it in. Hope that helps.

when i try to paste the icon in the area doesn allow it. command-v has no action in the edit menu either its grayed out

You have to use candybar or LiteIcon. I'd recommend LiteIcon, seeing as it's free, but yeah.
No icon change for drives if you don't have write access. It usually doesn't let you change it if it's an NTFS partition.

Thanks! I got saw a wallpaper like it somewhere on the internet and decided to make on myself. I have 2 others like the one in my pic if you want them.

Torqu, I was looking at the menu bar in your attachment on post 1021, and noticed something odd about your menu bar (yes, I know it's transparent). If you look closely at the menus on the right hand side (Airport, battery, Growl, ByteController), you'll notice that the menu bar behind them is a slightly different shade of grey to the rest of the menu. Anyone know why?

The theme is Liger. The gray behind the airport / battery icons is just the way the theme is. As many know, transparent themes don't go well with Tiger. Liger was updated to get rid of most of the transparency problems, but there still are a few.

id ont think its liger.. the menubar isnt transparent.. and bh2 said it was UNO..

Jae-V, dont be sad dude... i'm not running leopard also.... i think i'll wait for the first major revisions to be out first and after i did research on the problems with leopard after its release before considering updating.... Leo could have a very high potential to be buggy when first released...

BTW the second untitled drive is actually a 20Gb Windows XP partition...the bootcamp partition.

you can change the name in your XP partition (the C: drive) and it will be display on
your desktop(instead of the "untitled")
