Tried DSDT Patcher, Chameleon with DSDT override, iDeneb 1.3 10.5.5, vanilla/voodoo_beta2c kernels, some new kexts, but haven't made it stable yet.

could someone help me out with my laptop
i have Toshiba R25 (tablet) with 945GM chipset
i have the 10.5.4 on my pc,
The thing is, the computer is pretty stable as long as i work with single core,
as soon as i activate the second core from bios, i get kernel panics!!
and by kernel panics i mean if i a reboot several times i might also succeed in booting leopard with both of my cores activated!
is there any solution to this double core KP problem???

flashed the asus p5q deluxe bios and installed ideneb 1.3 10.5.5 works perfectly

the above-mentioned bios does not have the wifi card whitelist hack. it would be most helpful if the dsdt hack could be imposed on top of the whitelist hack.

I need this one too... I have the same model and everything. The symptoms are the laptop just completely turns off in the darwin loader when I don't use the cpus=1 flag.

I installed by my Father the Kalyway 10.5.2!
Kalyway 10.5.2 works fine but only with Sleep kernel and only on 1 Core and if the the APIC Option on Enabled got always the knowen Reboot Window!

Hi , Im having an acer 4520 AMD Turion 64x2 TL60 processor with Geforce 7000M integrated graphic chipset. I've been trying hard to get the graphic card to work with QE/cI support but to no avail. I know this thread was suppose for mod BIOS so that the cores can be recognised. But wondering if you have any idea as to whether the BIOS play a role for OS X to recognise my graphic card as to then allocate the appropriate system memory to it. As you see Geforce 7000M has no dedicated video memory. So BIOS allocation of the system memory may play a role here. I have tried using the latest 10.5.5 geforce kext drivers from the macbook pro update but still end up having freeze screen during boot up.

i've read hire and there on this forum and i've stopped hire: updating bios. my notebook seems to be unable to update bios! i've tried mod bios and also original bios, by stertup utility and by win update utility. it gives me an error when it try to read the bios file!

I was wondering if you'd be able to help me. i have a laptop which isn't booting on battery due to what i've heard is an ACPI issue. Given your experience with bios modding do you think it would be possible to mod the bios in a way that would allow it to boot without being plugged in? Just wondering if I could get a modified bios for my mobo. The Model is GA-EP35-DS3L and it has the Intel P35 + ICH9 Chipset. It seems to hang at boot for the iDeneb 10.5.5 install. I also have the Ati HD 3870 video card. i believe their are kexts for the video card and the sound which is ALC888 and i will probably also have to install the ICH9 kext which im not quite sure what the name of the kext is but if you could modify the bios for my motherboard it would be greatly appreciated. I’m also wondering if you’ve been able to get your sata drives working. That was also a issue for me that I had to install to an old IDE drive because of boot issues and have heard sata drives won’t work for the most part. Is this still true? Thanks alot for your time and help.
