Full Version: Dual 24" Monitors -> Which video card?

I'm about to bang a new (Leopard) hackintosh system -> Asus-P5W DH , 4GB ram, Q6600 processor.

I'm going to purchase (2) 24" monitors and I've looked through the forums but couldn't find anyone running this setup.

What video card can drive this a setup? Do I need to do SLI? Any help or links to threads would be appreciated..

Thanks..

Do I need to do SLI?

SLI only works with a single monitor, so, no.

You might want to check out this thread. It sounds like they have got two displays running off one card working on some video cards.

A fast one! I'm pretty sure the 8800 series are all working with dual-screen. I know for a fact the 7-series all do (256mb vram only, unfortunately).

Any card with two DVI ports should be able to drive 2 24" LCDs. That only requires 24MB of framebuffer, so I don't see memory amount being an issue.
