So I had the problem of the installer getting stuck with just a bit to go. So I then boot into single user mode, finished the setup by using the touch command in terminal. Now I can't admin my server. Server Preferences doesn't work, and Server Admin can't login, neither can anything else to my computer with my password. Help please. Thank you!

Can't you just reinstall?

The thing is, I know the password, and every time I try to reinstall, and the setup never finishes. The bar stops just a little bit before its done. It just sits there. I went and took a shower and it still wasn't done.

Wait, are you doing a clean install?

No. Its on my hack. I have the server packages. I install all but one (that one replaces a lot of files). I guess the problem with the applying isn't on just hacks, regular macs as well.

Tried that. I dont even reach the darwin bootloader, and installing it off the kalyway dvd doesn't work either.

Aren't there OSx86 server builds of Tiger if not Leopard?

Haha. Thanks numberz. If I had the money to buy an xserve, it would already be sitting next to me. If there is a server for hacks, could you let me know. I couldn't find any.

Try this with Tiger. It should work, I did this with my iBook G4 once and had no issues even though it was a real mac.
