cider is basically crossover/wine. you might have an easier time getting it to work in crossover and then once you do, maybe try and get it to work using cider.

Now i try run Lineage2 under Crossover. Error pop up: "Themida:Cannot open oreans.vxd driver. Make sure that oreans.vxd is not open by another program"
And stopped sad.gif
Search about Themida "Advanced Windows software protection system, developed for software developers who wish to protect their applications against advanced reverse engineering and software cracking."
WTH?! I just run game sad.gif
What this "advanced reverse engineering...."
i believe Themida is rootkit.

so. what do next? what you say..

The idea behind the protection is to keep people from botting or running multiple clients on the same pc. You might want to email ncsoft and ask them or post on the l2 forums. If you are trying to play a private server, ask there.

I know this topic is over a year old and probably forgotten/solved/moved on, but I found this while trying to solve the same problem with Lineage (1) which uses nProtect. As far as I can tell, its used to prevent people from reverse engineering the game (oddly enough, NC China leaked the game code and there's private server's up all over the place now anyways, as well as massive botting etc. etc.) Thus, I don't believe there is any way to run Lineage 2 under a mac without buying windows and using boot camp or similiar program.

Anyways, first post!
