Hi Taruga, thanks for your help,

well i want to fix ad1981 HP automute,

as far as i see, when i use appleazalia kext, it activates the EAPD pin of the chip, which make it automute sound until 60 seconds.

i inject a trap in appleazalia kext, and i know the EAPD pin is activated, before the codec starts mapping the outputs.

I found out on linux source, that it need a fix to set eapd for hp laptop properly works, like this

HDAudio3 showed correct info.

I just wanted to add that HDAudio.kext v3 - It just says that kext loaded successfully, no other output. v5 and v6 cause a kernel panic.

I am sure you would be willing to incorporate his fix into your 2.0 patcher or allow a split of the code base for similar sound chips/platforms. Thanks in advance. OK this is working here with ADI1988B.

I've compared the HDaudio.kext dump with the one from Ubuntu, and nearly everything is matching !!!!
I'ts been a long time that i'm waiting for a driver for my sound device !!! I hope this will working with HDApatcher v2.

OVOF!!!! YOU'RE A GENIUS!!!!!!!! REALLY THANKS!!! It works like a charm. I've fully audio by my internal speaker but i think it's a little low..but who cares:) Now we have to adjust mic and hearphone because nothing works except internal speaker! But really good work! I've installed your kext on my HP 6720s. Now I have sound out of my speakers!. thats great. I do not get any sound from the headphones connection though, but is gettin' closer

I have both cores enabled on my 8710p: difference with your machine is that my 8710p is using a dual-core T7500 (2.2ghz).

What is your problem when enabling both cores? Kernel panic?

Are you using PC_EFI and the vanilla kernel? (That's what I'm using: latest 9.2.2 kernel from Apple)

sorry but i don't see the attached kext on the topic sad.gif or that's these code lines ? ohmy.gif and i must save it to kext extension ? (i don't know, sorry if that's a dumb question ^^")
