hey Gopan

i installed kalyway 10.5.1 on my nx7400 as well and there are a couple of other things that do not work:

1. battery is not detected at all, even though i can use the battery while not being plugged in
2. scroll wheel on the mouse pad does not work at all
3. when watching videos on youtube the videos freeze after about 1-2 seconds, but start playing if i move the slider forward a bit only to stop 1-2 seconds later sad.gif

I think thats it for now....

PS the audio also does not work and i cant seem to find a link for AppleHDAPatcher 1.20....

Any news as far as something being developed for Soundblaster Audigy 2 ZS Platinum?
pharillion
Thanks Taruga, you're a star.

You were quite right, and sound is now working correctly - headphone output, line output and spdif out.

In converting my linux dump I'd ended up with ms-dos line endings which the patcher didn't like much. Once I'd got the same dump into mac format the patcher was quite happy.

With the patched AppleHDA.kext and ALCinject.kext I now find that shutdown no longer completely powers off the machine as reported in another thread, but I can live with that.

Here's the corrected codec dump just in case it's useful to anyone.

Thanks again...

The codec dump differs only slightly from the (3?) others floating around. it was taken with ubuntu 8.04 beta 32-bit. knoppix didn't recognise the chip in my case.

What's the next step? edit the dump & try re-applying it for more functionality? I'm sure I'm not alone in wanting to experiment more..

P.S. sorry we couldn't provide for all your needs, Taruga, and best of luck in the new place.
