Is there an XviD codec for Intel Builds yet?? Or is there one the works under Rosetta??

I don't have any XviD files on hand. Have you tried the latest Beta DivX plugin? If not, it's worth a shot. If it doesn't work, we'll have to wait on a universal plugins.

That new divx plugin seems to be key, I have been attempting to run xvid on vlc doesnt seem to want to work, but then again I cannot even play dvd's on my sse2. Ill give it a shot on my sse3 in the morning.

This was discussed somewhere else. If you disable HT in the bios, you can play DVD movies on DVD Player using SSE2 chips.

It would be very nice, to take a look in the DVD App from 10.4.4.

But it seems that no 10.4.4. owner uploaded anything yet, exept the kexts. Thats poor (imho) smile.gif

Funny to see their intro:
"Introducing DivX 6 for Mac... for Intel!

Extra! Extra! Read all about it! DivX 6 for Mac for Intel is now available!

That's right, now all of you on hacked Windows PC's running OS X.... er, wait, um... I mean, now all of you getting the new Intel based iMacs and future MacBook Pro's can use DivX 6 for Mac as well!"
