If we all send a feedback form five times in a row, maybe Yahoo will actually listen and give us a usable messenger that offers feature parity. It's similar in format to the "End the Whine" event we had about the MacBook whine/moo.

If we flood them out, we can wind up with a messenger that is usable.

What features are you looking for?

I want feature parity with the Windows version (that gets updated every week) instead of getting some crappy beta that is never finished.

Voice chat in Vista doesn't work. There is a patch, but it doesn't work in Ultimate.

Which features do you really need in an IM client other than the ability to send and receive messages?

Personally, I can't stand MSN, AIM or Y! Clients because they are all adware disguised as something moderately useful. Just use something like Adium and call yourself good.

If there is some specific piece of functionality you really want/will use, I would like to hear about it simply because I have yet to find anything truly useful in these apps beyond the whole sending and receiving messages aspect.

Maybe I am really naieve here.

I actually feel the same way, but my stoopid roommate flips out because he can't talk sh*t to people using voice chat. I may be a computer geek, but he needs to get a life!
