I've searched the forums but nobody else seems to be having this problem. What is this task associated with and why would it use the cpu to such extent? It bogs down the computer and when I force quit it, it returns after a while. Setup as follows:
Dell inspiron e1406/640m
core2duo t5600
intel 945 chipset
sata hd
sigmatel sound (haven't configured this to work just yet)

screenreaderd is linked to the VoiceOver Utility. Disable it from Preference Panel-->Speech-->Open Universal Access Preferences-->Seeing-->VoiceOver OFF. Found this while searching for why screenreaderd would repeatedly crash in my Activity Monitor.
