Another step in the wrong direction, if you ask me, since it's only software to make a ' Windows ready' partition on Apple hardware and other opions are for free.
To me Apple is making lovely products, but it's more and more behaving as those guys with Microsoft.
Maybe making record profits isn't all good......... whistle.gif

nope, wouldnt surprise me, although it would be silly because thats their add... "and now you can run windows on your mac too" ? (who would pay for the ability to run another os that they allready had to pay for/) i can see it now "boot camp warez" ittl be the bigest thing since 95 warez lol!

They did this with iChat AV also. It came standard with 10.3, but 10.2 users had to pay to use it. Expect the same here.

sounds just like the problem with upgrading to 802.11n
Embio
you dont have to pay for xgrid on panther though...

I'll just stick with the last beta of Boot Camp and "tweak" it so it never expires. wink.gif

who cares. almost everyone will upgrade to Leopard eventually, so it's no big deal (most Intel Mac users will probably buy Leopard within the 1st month of its release). Plus, all new Macs purchased after Leopard is out will have Boot Camp. It's just an added incentive for people to upgrade, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. Apple charging for Quicktime Pro is more ridiculous than them charging for Boot Camp.

i will not pay for this. for sure.

there will be cracked versions, right after the release...
