Anyone knows where can i find the NO-CD for DOOM 3 universal binary executable?
I'd like not to crash my original DVD.
Thanks.

to play it on the go, or to not have to ruin your original DVD/CD etc.. I generally don't like to swap out discs all the time.

There's a package out there of no CDs for various UB Mac games at the place where the stones have broken.
actually i think if you just make a disk image called 'Doom 3' (or whatever the disk is called) and mount it with Toast instead of the default apple one, doom 3 will launch. the image can be empty too IIRC.

I don't have Toast, but I was able to get a couple of games to boot no-CD by doing this:
1. Insert original game disk and open Disk Utility.
2. Select the mounted volume of your game disk and hit New Image.
3. Select Read Only as the image format and save it wherever.
4. Eject game disk, mount image, play game. Should work. Warcraft III boots without a CD once I did this.
EDIT: Selecting "Compressed" as the image format should work as well. I converted my read only WC3 image to compressed and the game still boots.
What sucks is that I only saved about 15 MB by doing that.
