Hi,

I just found a link to a working compiled Apache2 .2.3, get it from

http://www2.entropy.ch/download/apache2-2....niversal.tar.gz

Ok, so after disabling websharing in the prefpane, I unpacked the apache2
folder to the hidden (Rootvolume)/usr/local/ folder.

after giving it an sudo /usr/local/apache2/bin/apachectl start it is now up and running.

So my question is: does it belong there? Is this the place to be for apache? And - does this
effect my apache that came with osx in any way?

Thanks in advance, I am new to this webserver stuff.
