So i've decided to partition my harddrive and dual boot xp and osx86, i have a 100gb hd and i plan on making a 6gb partition as most guides say, i plan on installing osx on this 6gb partition.

Now my question is, if i boot up using osx will i be able to access and save files on my xp (94gb) partition? or should i make a larger partition for osx so i can save and access larger files?

thank you in advance.

OS X can only read and write to a Fat 32 partition. So if XP (which it probably is) is installed on NTFS you can only read. Therefore I advice you to make a larger OS X partition for your OS X files if you can miss the space from windows. You can also make another FAT 32 backup partition that OS X and XP both can use.

good luck
