hi i have to change my mac address. i have two lan cards to do it. one is Viarhine and the second one is Realtek 8139. Is there any way to change the mac address in any of these two cards? i have x86 and 10.4.7 jas.
Please help. of course i tried ifconfig but the mac didn't changed. my internet provider assigns mac to ip so i must change my mac address.

There are programs out there for it... but why?

You can call your ISP and have the clear the host file on their end.

(I work for a broadband provider that assigns IP to MAC. It takes 2 shakes of stick to clear it out)

Use a router and clone mac on that.

Quite easy ... you don't need anything .... ifconfig works
Just enter Terminal, and
"ifconfig", see what card you wanna change mac to (en3 lets say) and then:
"sudo ifconfig en3 ether 00:00:00:00:00"
and voila` ....

Shame on this guy for stealing internet and changing his mac address to prevent implication!
