Well iTunes is nice but runs under Rosetta and eats up to 25% of my slow (2.34Ghz) CPU...
And all that i need is just a nice small player that runs natively on OSX86 smile.gif

I tried to compile Quiche (or smth like that), but it needs FMOD, but it's libs are only available for PowerPC architecture, so linker prints an error while configure tryin to compile a test program...

Try VLC

VLC

I'm currently usin' it as a DivX player, but i think it can't load my *.m3u playlists, and playing mp3 one-by-one is insane biggrin.gif And can be achieved with QuickTime

There's been talk of porting skiTunes before we got iTunes working but it just died away after Rosetta worked.

Krooval: It isn't the only way. There are many others out there that does uploading of songs to iPods. In fact, some even do downloading from iPod back to the computer. One personal favourite is YamiPod. smile.gif

use audion .. has many nice themes, too..

but...

very long playlists and surfing at the same time kinda lets the comp slow down...

i have 1.8GHz though... maybe thats why...

Can anyone get XMMS working, a very neat Winamp style player?

Actually, MacAmp Lite X is still around, and it works GREAT. I kid you not - no crashes, no faults, nothing. It runs just like it does on PowerPC.

I don't know about porting Winamp skins to it - I don't think you can.
