I found an old linksys pcmcia card, so i put it in my slot and it is recognized in the system profiler and there is an icon on the top right next to the clock that has a drop down menu with the following:
The Linksys Group, Inc. (greyed out)
Instant Wireless Network PC Card (greyed out)
Power Off Card
In system profiler under PC cards it shows:
Function: Network Adapter
Vender: The Linksys Group, Inc.
Type: PC Card
Vender ID: 628
Device ID: 5651
The model of the card is a WPC11 ver. 3
Is there a .kext file in which i can input the vender and device IDs? such as maybe 0x56510628?(from reading other posts)
