Update: It seems to be working on my Dell Dimension 8300 but not my Thinkpad T40. The only difference between them OS wise is the Dell is running JaS 10.4.6 and Thinkpad is running JaS 10.4.7.

Guys with errors, if you changed anything visual-wise such as safari and mail icons, installed themes like UNO and AquaOps, you'll need to get them back to default to minimize problems.

yea i did my AquaOps restore and still didnt work. IDK what the issue is, but tomm im going to back up my apps and artwork and what not, then reinstall and see if it helps. I htink its An AMD and/or Nvidia problem. I think the ppl with nvidia cards without qe and ci arnt going to get it to work.

I think "Milk" is my lost love. Now if only I could find those pretty white icons to go along with it somewhere...

EDIT: my apologies domino, I realized after downloading this was in fact a milk icon set. I suppose I was looking for something more "pluggable" into the ShapeShifter Icon Set functionality. Maybe a clickable file that loads like a guikit would load?

My bad, you'll need a trial version of Pixadex and candyBar to install those. There are limitations, but it shouldn't keep you from using the containers. Other than that, you have to find and install icons one-by-one. i havn't seen one for shapeshifter yet. I'm still new to this though

edit; there something called milk 3.0 icons for i guess milk 3.0 kit. But I like the ones from icontainer better.

LOL.. Installed some theme and now pref pane and 3 or 4 apps dont open/run. Be very carefull. It's not the app's fault, i think I installed an old theme called Metal.

So, now what do I do?

Now I just need Photoshop Unibin.....Jason has done a great job!

Infinite, I'm having this problem too. I wonder why this is happening...

The Rosetta problem is already address over at the dev's site. I'm sure he'll patch and release it s soon as possible.

I like the theme for your DELL PC, especially when the desk picture is used!

Update ShapeShifter 2.4b3

Very Important Note: ShapeShifter 2.4b1 and ShapeShifter 2.4b2 both had a bug that caused PPC applications running on Intel machines via Rosetta to sporadically crash on launch. The new beta, ShapeShifter 2.4b3 !!!DOES NOT!!! fix this issue. We're still working on it.

I tried it several weeks ago and I couldn't, some hardware requeriments done by shapeshifter.
Now it's universal and it rox a lot! Love it! It's the first time I use it. I love milk! I used it at GNOME a lot of time.

This is bizarre I have not been able to run this on my Thinkpad T40 running JaS 10.4.7 now I can

Today I was trying the AGP driver which did not work but it seems to have fix my Shapeshifter problem. I think what fixed it was replacing IOPCIFamily.kext 10.4.6 version with 10.4.5

So perhaps those having the same problem as I did could give this a try, who knows it might work.

Well I almost had it working

I can't load any system preferences they all crash can't even load ShapeShifter preferences

I had to remove ShapeShifter completely, oh well maybe when the final release is out it may work for me.

I have a problem with shapeshifter. It says cannot apply mods

heres the log:
ShapeShifter was unable to apply the specified mods. Invalid parameter not satisfying: theResource != NULL

i have 10.4.7 osx i dont know what the problem is plz help!

All those who can't get shapeshifter to work make sure X11 is installed!

I had to reinstall OSX, during installation i checked off X11 (don't know why), but then shapeshifter would not start (it would install).
So, went through the installation again and checked X11, voila, shapeshifter installs and works!

Yeh... I got tired of serial chasing & just bought the damn thing.

I would like to try out 24b3 version (24b4 breaks the Cold guikit). If anyone has it, can u upload it and post a link? Unsanity link to 24b3 all point to 2.3.1.
