What are those games that you just spend way too much time on?

For me:

iConquer
Chess
New001
Aha smile.gif For me it would be UT2004 and Halo Demo. Though I also do like playing Quake 4 and Marble Blast Gold a lot, they're also very good games.
Colonel
Marble Blast Gold - I think I'm one of the few that finds Marble Blast entertaining.

Halo - For me, it's just one of those games that you can play over and over and it never gets old
Victor Gil
For me it should be Bejeweled from PopCap Games, I can spend Hours playing the game, I just Love it.... biggrin.gif
domino
I would have to say the eternal StarCraft: Brood War biggrin.gif
cyrana
Dark Castle or Pac the Man. biggrin.gif
Bart86
I like playing Warbirds and xplane - neither of which work well on my hackintosh gma950 sad.gif

iConquer as pointed out by Mash works perfect without QE or CI. Awesome game too.
Glider works too without QE or CI.

I guess they are my favourite in Mac. Atleast they work. happymac.GIF

Breaking News http://forum.osx86project.org/index.php?showtopic=17756. TTD works too.

Pac the Man. biggrin.gif

Definitely that one. Also lost some productive time playing Enigmo.
Paranoid Marvin
Sims 2 + Nightlife + University and Homeworld 2!
Also, I have noticed that graphically, Sims 2 runs much better with the Nightlife expansion (same on Windows) and on Leopard!

I lost track of alot of my life when i got hooked to Diablo II tongue.gif

Civ 3 is great, I just can't see the point in 4, the fancy graphics spoil it. Oh and I love my zx spectrum emulator, that was the best games machine ever built.
Big Kahuna
Chess crashes on my system!!!

I have to say, one game that truly got me addicted was Dreamfall and Indigo Prophecy and Red Alert 2. Oh ya and Beyond Good and Evil.

These four games were by far the most addictive ever. Atleast for me.

same here, it's been great since they released a UB. i always find some way to entertain myself, it never feels like the same thing over again. only other gaming i do on my mac is with a snes emulator. ironically the only computer gaming i do is on a mac, i don't use my pc. the rest of my gaming i do on my consoles.
{Darkness}
I would have to say halo hands down for me.
MacSimizeDenver
First game I've played on Mac was Solaris (must be around 89/90 when I was six).
Then Spectre and Spectre Supreme, what a great gameplay!
But I think I waste lifetime if I don't play games - work let you getting older so fast. biggrin.gif

My alltime favourite is Civ (here II+III). In case of a nuclear war I would start a new Civ session until everything is over...

Time between Civ is used for SimCity 4 Rush Hour, F/A-18 Hornet, Syndicate (by Peter Molyneux!), Spaceward Ho!, Oregon Trail, many Lucas Arts productions (like Indy series, Kyrandia, Full Throttle) and many other great Classics from 1990-2000.
Black Mac
Call Of Duty 2 (Universal) is a very good game for Mac OS X
fac51
for me Combat Mission and Star Wars Racer biggrin.gif
BladeZ
1.Cold War
2.UT2004
3.RollerTycoon 3
4.Enigmo2
5.Halo
6.Command and Conquer Generals
7. Photoshop (haha just kiddin' )

Are my favourites on my Mac smile.gif

Honestly guys, these games run better on my MacInDell than in Windows.

Wishlist for my Mac:

CounterStrike
Battlefield 2

Seriously, that game has consumed my life. (not really) Even though it has to run through Rosetta, it still kicks some ass on my MacBook Pro.

Although every time I run it the fans go absolutely crazy... sounds like a freakin airplane revving up when i play Warcraft, but quiet during everything else. Very strange.
GeeksHaveFeelings
Darwinia. It's a british game nobody has ever heard of. It's not long, but highly fun, creative and addicting.

Yep, n-ball is brilliant. You should also try rag doll masters....equally great.
markusf
Cant' believe nobody mentioned GridWars!

It's a totally addictive game. It's a simple port of Geometry Wars.
abcslayer
I wish Battle Realm would come natively to Mac world one day.
OMX-Knuckles
Quake 1 at the moment. I forgot how bloody brilliant that game is. I hadn't played it in several years, and even after games such as Half-Life 2, FarCry, and Doom 3 it still looks good and plays well. The level design is phenomenal. I'll probably play through Quake 2 next- that was a favourite of mine for awhile. I hear Quake 4 was dreadful in contrast to the first two but we'll see. It sure looks nice but the demo seemed way too contrived for my liking and took it's self too seriously. I'm generally an RPG player, but Dungeon Siege and Diablo are just about the only good RPGs available for Mac and I'm hooked on Gothic 3 for PC anyhow.
scart
for me world of warcraft , and probably stick arena
alloutmacstoday
n-ball rocks!!!!!!

halo is probably the best mac game ever
Isolder
I want to laugh at all of you who are saying Halo is the best Mac game ever.
Maybe if it had came out on Mac like was originally debuted and planned it could have been..

Nah, the best Mac games are the likes of Marathon, Myth Series (also made by Bungie) and of course Escape Velocity.
Soündless
yeah, halo isnt the best mac game.........
