I'm running Fedora 11 and trying to configure and install Ndiswrapper from the source file (1.55). When I attempt to compile it, I get this:

CODE
make -C driver
make[1]: Entering directory `/home/---/ndiswrapper/ndiswrapper-1.55/driver'
Makefile:34: *** Cannot find kernel version in /usr/src/kernels/2.6.29.6-217.2.8.fc11.i586, is it configured?. Stop.
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/---/ndiswrapper/ndiswrapper-1.55/driver'
make: *** [all] Error 2

Note: I have censored the home directory name for privacy purposes.

See if this helps you:

In other distros I have never needed to compile anything in order to install ndiswrapper.
Also, are you sure you need ndiswrapper and that there isn't a native driver in the kernel?

Pretty much everything except for sound works out of the box, and I'm suspecting that chipset support is somewhat flawed, so I want to kill some time figuring out how to install ndiswrapper to fix the sound and chipset support.

Edit: Thanks for the help, I was able to successfully install ndiswrapper using the source I downloaded.
