Full Version: Kernel Panic when I load the retail Snow Leopard Disc

Hello,

I become a kernel panic when I load with the Boot132 Disc the retail Disc.

My System is in my Sig. My BIOS is moddet for OSX and default. AHCI is enable.

I hope that anybody can help me :-)

Do you have a older version of os x (tiger leopard) on your mobo

I have installed Snow Leopard with universal 3.5 Hack DVD but after the Install it don't start (Appleintelcpumanagment...) that I will install the Retail Version.

can you start in safe mode

No I have test with -v -x cpu=1 and arch=x86_32 but nothing works.

It were good when I can install the retail Version. ^^

If you had leopard on another partition I would suggest myhack installer.

hm but I Don't have ^^

I Want to install Snow Leopard from the Retail with Boot 132 CD and I don't have a installed Leopard. I only have Windows 7 at the Moment wink.gif

Yea I used this Boot132 Mars and jupiter cd but it don't go.

It's the same :-(

I have same board than you, enter CPU options in Bios and disble "MAX CPU ID" you can disable all other CPU options but this one is the most important. Hope it helps.

You might want to get rid of OpenHaltRestart, since my system gets KP when I try to load the disk. I suspect that OHR is causing problems with Snow Leopard.

I have a USB live disk of 10.5 in case of problems like these, however you can boot the install disk into single user mode, mount a USB key and remove/replace kexts that way.

That is my old go to method on my girlfriends laptop, which I always forget to make a backup of before I tinker.
