Does this link contain the specs for your laptop?

If so you're trying to put OS X on a laptop which uses a single core Celeron. I'm not saying it can't be done, but if it is done I would think it's less common. Not sure what your alternatives are.

Out of curiosity, which flavor of OS X did you want to try to install? Leopard or Snow Leopard?

Well, I have the compaq cq60-120tu and it works almost perfectly with the iatkos v7 installation. Just a few problems, such as no wifi (because I have an atheros card). Other than that, I have it working fine. I even use microsft office for mac (from thepiratebay), limewire, iPhone sdk, etc.

I would say use leopard installs as snow leopard doesn't seem as reliable (maybe that's just me).
