ok, if you can press F8 or at chameleon press anything besides enter and type that "-v cpus=1" without the quotes to boot into verbose, single core mode, and tell us what it says, it sounds like the AHCI controller isn't being allocated properly or you have an improper kernel though the latter of which would typically result in a "kernel" kernel panic
When i put in verbose and single core flags it just went through the (for lack of a better word) matrix looking screen with kexts it still rebooted so just for the hell of it i copied the flashdrives files to an HFS+ hdd and it gave me this screen.

im no expert but im pretty sure that the mac pro 2.1 at the bottom is something to do with the problem
