thanks to the great guide by blackosx, I managed installation of Snow Leopard 10.6.1 on my system with GA-EP45-DS3L mainboard.
Installed kexts are:

I have installed the latest version of the Logitech Control Center (v3.1) and installation worked perfectly.

However, the Logitech Control Center tells me that is does not recognize a Logitech device - neither the mouse nor the keyboard.

Any ideas on that? Are extra keys on the mouse (forward - backward) and keyboard (multimedia) working at all with OSX86 10.6.1?

Try google with these words "logitech control center snow leopard" and the second listing www.tuaw.com should be a solution. Google works for a large percentage of the questions asked on this site. Too bad more people don't use it as it would make it easier to find answers to the questions that aren't covered by google search.

If that doesn't work out for you try app USB Overdrive 3.
