Lizard offert a user interface and some features to help Chamleon's ( 2 RCx) parameters edition.

Include:

- com.apple.Boot.plist interface

- smbios.plist interface (the app follow your custom smbios.plist path if needed)

- Chameleon version Check

- Save parameters without modifying permissions access

- Themes management (read the excellent Blackosx's post about themes here: http:/ / forum.voodooprojects.org/index.php/topic,388.0.htmlact=post&do=new_post&f=157)

- Intuitive edition (disable incompatible fields...etc)

- Bootlable ISO creator ( drag'n'drop, the app analyze your files and import settings into the ISO)

- Detailled Help files

You can also:

- Specify if you want to work with /Extra/com.apple.Boot.plist or /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.Boot.plist (for RAID users)

- Indicate to the app where is your Extra folder

- backup files

Lizard is still in Beta stage (and my first project with cocoa/oc) , so you may encounter bugs.

No, you can't.

It'd be nice if you added saving the smbios.plist elsewhere, as I use Boot Think on a USB drive, and not Chameleon. It's no trouble now, as I just grabbed it out of the Extra folder which Lizard created

Hi Sonotone - I have just seen your videos on You-Tube for this.. Well done. They help show what it's all about and just how easy it is to make a BootCD smile.gif

I understand, but this app is designed for Chameleon, i can't support every chameleon forks, and prefer to work for collaborative and open sources projects.

hi

can you describe how this works with an software raid0 install?
i have partitions "Boot OSX" with Extra Folder in them, and when i touch /L/P/S/com.apple.Boot.plist
it copies changed version to the Boot OSX Partitions but not /Extra/com.apple.Boot.plist?

Or should i move Extra Folder to RAID Volume?

No don't move /Extra to the raid volume, cause chameleon will not see it. I'm actually using an alternate boot partition to achieve that, installed chameleon on a USB key.

I have ideas to achieve that but i need to search the nicest way to do that.

@mrheat:
I''ve never used RAID, so it's difficult to me to improve support for, sorry.

---

I've just updated the app with a more flexible RAM management, check link in first post.

BarboneNet
for raid install, you can use my guide! Follow the link in my signature !

It is in Italian....but it is easy:)
sonotone
Just updated Lizard, now you can activate backups and choose the backup folder in preferences.
Also some changes in the interface, and cpu patch support in smbios.
mrheat
@barebone: exactly the way i do it! 2 copies of /Extra in "Boot OSX" Volume

Now sources are available. Even if it's full of bad practices and errors, can be a good starting point for making a pref pane.

Sorry, but it's not on the "to do" list..
And probably people who are using "efi" partition love terminal, so i think they'll don't be afraid by plist edition tongue.gif
