I have a DELL PowerEdge SC440 that is currently running a vanilla 10.5.8 without problems, but Snowleopard doesn´t detect my SATA devices. My machine has a ICH7 controller (Intel 82801GB/GR/GH 8086:27c0). First, I received kernel panics, but after modifying IOATAFamily.kext extension (I used this one: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=186609) , it boots but without SATA devices!

The extension loads perfectly and the PATA devices are working. No idea what to do. Any clue?

I forget to say one thing. My motherboard doesn´t have any BIOS options to set AHCI mode sad.gif
Could this issue be the main problem?
