It gets a little bit weirder than this though.
My primary example would be my smartphone and my camera. Plugged into a mobo usb hub.
The phone seems to charge, but extraordinarily slowly.
The Cannon 40D just freaks.

When I plug in the camera. I generally lose my USB mouse all together and the camera never shows up as a device.

Wish I had more information than that to provide. I'm totally new to OS X and the hackintosh world, so I'm sure that doesn't help.

Any advice on where to start?
