firstly I'm sorry for my bad english.
secondly, my problem is :
I've install kalyway and it's work well on osx 10.5.2. I want update osx on 10.5.8 or it's possible on 10.6
when I effectuate the update with ideneb update kit, i can't boot. screen with apple don't stop.
I try so to install ideneb 1.6 lite edition and I have a black screen at first boot after install. when i boot with -f -v i have not error write.
I've found on the net a list of bug with my graphic card. I've must delete all ATI kext on the library. but when i boot with -x and delete all kext in command ligne it's don't work (kext as note deleted).
Now i don't now what can i do.
My configuration :

blopjerem: you need dvi2vga adapter attached on one of your dvi ports. That's how I got mine working... Since I don't use dual monitor it's all good. or else you can try installing patched motmot but I didn't try it.

I've just success my installation with ideneb 1.6 lite edition. I've now OS X 10.5.8
I have install ideneb with vanilla kernel and chamelon v2 boot loader.
and I've cehck fixe for disabled firewire.
at the first boot I have start on -s and -v and -f.
and I've delete all drivers on library folder on command line. I don't now why this time it's work and not the other.
line command to delete all drivers ATI :
/sbin/mount -uw/ -> to mount the hard drive
sudo -s -> to allow root access
cd /system/library/extensions -> to go on the folder extensions
rm -r ATI* -> to delete all atixxx.kext on the folder
rm -r natit.kext -> to delete natit.kext. but it is not on the folder for me.
exit -> to reboot.
and when I reboot on osx partition it's working.
I don't if it's can help you bokata
