hi ya guys i want to get more hard drives on my hackintosh.... and was thinking of buying a esata usb sata PCI controller card...
see here..

and i was just wondering if the following chipset (VT6214L+VT6421A) will work on AMD leopard 10.5.8

the card says that it works on osx mmm but i have not seen anything about confirming this can you guys advise on the best one to get or if this will work....

ok no one responded and i need to know so i bit it and brought it!!! just waiting for it to arrive, once it does i will do all the test's and then let you guys t know the results.. watch this space....

ok so here is the lowdown...

USB all 4 works a treat on USB 2.0 :-)
esata not working :-(
sata not working :-(
IDE could not test as i do not have an IDE drive

i think its because there is no working VT6214L +VT6421A kexts the disc only came with USB drivers for OS X how RUDE!!

oh well works fine on the PC will leave it in there until a later date when maybe someone will write the drivers for it...
worth a try!
