BUG FOUND :: ADD NEW ZIP FILE ,

fix bug and FIX bug NATIT.KEXT

This is my script for create the kext for have Ci and Qe with the ATI CARD x19x0 on snow leopard .

Work fine form my ATI x1950xt 7244 1002

Funzionamento :

1 ) go to the script folder ( cd / )

empty-skulls-macpro31:~ empty_skull$ cd /Users/empty_skull/Desktop/10.6_snow_leopard_x19x0_no_GT_PRO_V1

2 ) log ( sudo -s )

3 ) start the script ( ./install )

4 ) Read the information

Any chance this script could work for x1600 family cards, like the x1650? I'm just asking cause I can't get it to work properly using Leo kexts....

for snow leopard , this version i'm not sure if work for your card .. i don't have 1600 series .. is impossible for me testing .. sorry ..

i have used ATY_init.kext .. from netkas blog .. only .. but my card like apple id .. 9588 .. if you read the info.plist of of 2600controller watch the match from my id ..

My graphic card has the 0x9588 id but the trick didn't work for me, maybe it has a different graphic firmware.

ATI x1900GT 724b 1002 works!but no resolution to chose,faild to install natit.kext,just only 1024X768

yes same bug) but i change

./install: line 315: cd..: command not found
cp: Natit.kext: No such file or directory
chmod: /System/Library/Extensions/Natit.plugin: No such file or directory
chown: /System/Library/Extensions/Natit.kext: No such file or directory

cd.. to cd ..

and Natit.plugin to Natit.kext
.

but no success, strange I have the x1950 XT 7244 1002 256 mb ram
in all modes -x32 or -x64
with or without Natit.kext and no logs from Natit then boot with -v
I try to put Natit.kext from 10.5.7 and get some logs from Natit but not all as in Leopard

thanks a lot for your signalisations .. i have post the new script .. natit.kext bug fix !!

When you reinstall , please put in your Extensions Folder the original kext ..

My script if you don't replece the old kext of first install , don't work again ..
don't replace the string ..

This did not happen before. My card has id 7240 and I am running 64 bit kernel vanilla, as 32 bit hangs. Ihad previously no resolution change, nor I had driver loaded for this card. But I did not get this message on syslog.

Any Ideas. Maybe I should install ATI extentions again?

i reinstall SL, try again, script work (i see changes in info.plist) but nothing, i think that Natit don`t work for me, no logs from it.

I also don't have any luck with x1950xt and the script. I've copied following files from the Snow Leopard retail DVD:

ATI1900Controller.kext
ATIFramebuffer.kext
ATIRadeonX1000.kext
ATIRadeonX1000GA.plugin
ATIRadeonX1000GLDriver.bundle
ATIRadeonX1000VADriver.bundle
ATISupport.kext

... and then ran your script - it has modified the .kexts correctly, and added the Natit.kext to the /Extensions folder. I've repaired the permissions, deleted the mkext file, and rebooted the machine.

After the reboot, menubar was translucent, but I couldn't change the resolution, or have a dual screen output.

Natit.kext included in the zip does not load during booting. I've checked with the kextstat, and natit is not listed. Then I've switched the natit.kext with an older one from: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=33007. This one found the x1950xt, but still no success.

Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks.

thx for all your driver stuff empty skull, used your drivers from 10.5.6 to 10.5.8
now i am stuck at snow leopard

your script doesn't work for me with 7244 / 1002 (i've got a sapphire ati x1950xt)
don't know why, no resolutions, snow leo does not detect the card in system profiler

is there any hint left before i buy a new card ?

i am using a MSI Neo2 FR with Kabyl 1.8 modded Bios
it's running fine on snow leopard except only one core on core 2 duo

I tried the steps from the script in this link but I have some errors. I have an Ati (not Asus or other brand) X1900XTX 512 MB (Dev: 7249, 1002). Here's what I have done.

- I opened Terminal, sudo -s, password and drag and drop the install script.
- choose 1 : Series 1x00
- 1 Serie XT , XTX
- card name : x1900xtx (also tried x1900, x1900xt)
- Ati
- 3) Serie 1900

After that, I get the following message:

But the 1900 file is in the same as the install file.

And last question, is it working also with 64-bit ?

I have a x1950xt sapphire card as well , pci and can't seem to get the script to change the resolution

any ideas?

I've finally found a way to get my sleep working on my Asus P5W DH Deluxe but I have a video card (ATI X1900XTX 512 MB) problem when it tries to wakes up.

Everything seems to wake but I can't have the display. Instead I have a black screen with white caracters with the following message: "A52021 X1900XTX BIOS". Somethimes, I get some kind of white screen. Other then that it is working great (though only 32-bit)

Did anyone have seen a similar problem or know what to look for ?

I tested some DSDT patches but that doesn't seems to work.

Hmmm seems to be harsh with the ATI1900Controller.kext and the ATISupport, ATIFramebuffer.

Tried to insert the 7244 id and aslo the 7264 id for secondary 1950 sersies.
Still can not change resolution.
With natit and without ATI1900Controller, ATISupport and ATIFramebuffer, osx recognize the card but still cant change resolution.

Also the script from empty skull doesnt work for me either.
The provided natit kext does not contain the 7244 id

anny suggestions?
