Try searching.... I'm sure there might be answers in the forum. I mean they might not be specific to SL but, if you find something that solves this in Tiger/Leopard please try them...

This is a very common problem and my experiences were related to failure to enable ACHI in the BIOS. A wrong boot-uiud could also do it (happened to me).

Try searching for other opinions.

I've already try to enable ACHI in the bios it does not resolve the issue.

What do you mean by a wrong boot-uiud ?!

I've been searching for a week before posting... So when i ask for help it's because i did not find by my self wink.gif

A leopard ideneb installation is perfectly working. That's why i can't understand why the snow OS isn't booting... Thanks for the help.

I installed OSX onto a portable USB drive then cloned it to a fixed internal HD but it failed to boot because com.apple.boot.plist was pointing to the USB drive.

If you have multiple internal drives, make sure the drive SL is on is the first drive the system sees (it would show up in Mac OS X as disk0s<whatever>). I've found that SL doesn't like to boot on Hacks if it's not on the first disk.

This most likely has to do with how all of your drives are set up. What usually works with the least pain is using an external USB-DVD usually gets you to the next step.
