Hi!

Using my DVD+RW Optiarc 7201S on the ICH10 SATA Controller results in a setpower error when trying to enter sleep. Sleep takes very long until there is a timeout and the hack finally goes to sleep.
Is there any way to fix this? I guess a driver needs to be patched?

This is the logentry when entering sleep:

CODE
Aug 24 16:30:10 Hackmac kernel[0]: IOSCSIPeripheralDeviceType05::setPowerState(0x613eb00, 4 -> 0) timed out after 100377 ms

Are there "known good" DVD Burners with proper Powermanagement handling?

Thanks!

OK, for anyone having similar problems: I could fix this by flashing a Beta BIOS for my Board with a new AHCI Bios (1.20) inside. Sleep now works instantly smile.gif

So the old AHCI 1.07 BIOS was causing this, not the DVD Burner...
Gigabyte Mainboard BIOS' with the new AHCI Bios inside are available here:
