Please let me know if this has been posted in the wrong place.

My wacom tablet (Wacom Graphire4 A6, CTE-440) is acting up (again) and I can't seem to fix it. The pressure sensitivity must be set EXTREMELY HIGH, because I'll have the pen tip about half an inch from the tablet and it will recognize it as touching, making it impossible to move my cursor without "clicking". Aka, it's impossibly sensitive.

I'm using Mac OS X and for some reason I can't get to the pen tablet preferences (in system preferences). It says that it's "not possible on an intel processor". Aaargh what is that supposed to mean?

I tried uninstalling and re-installing little wacom twice, and it's still having the same problem. Turning off the computer and rebooting it isn't helping, either.

Is there anything else I can do? Or is God trying to tell me I need a new tablet sob

I'd just buy a new tablet (I've had this one for years), but they're, haha, expensive. Suggestions?

they are expensive... I had this issue with my intous3 6D art pen (the pro one) but not my other pens and mice... I solved the problem eventually, though cannot remember how. I think that when i reinstalled it started working again properly.

You shouldn't need a new tablet, the Graphire4 is still relatively new... If you were/are going to get a new tablet, id wait until something like a intuos5 comes out...

Are you using the drivers from the bundled cd? They might be outdated and PowerPC only.
Try it with newer drivers from Wacoms homepage.
