Hi !!

Just discovered this section, as I wasn't sure if SpeedStep worked OOB on a vanilla hackintosh 10.5.7, seems not smile.gif
I have a C2D e6750, stock speed is 2.66 (8x333) o/c to 3.2 just to match my ram speeds (400 Mhz FSB).
So installed this kext, don't know if it's really working great, as I used tuxx's speedstep gui, and it shows only 2 frequencies, 3200 and 2400.
Does SpeedStep on hackintosh acts on fsb, cpu ratio, or both ?
And now that speedstep is installed, seems that my hackintosh start is 2 or 3 times slower, really annoying, and don't know why.

Any help/advice would be appreciated smile.gif

Thanks !!

I have an e6750 overclocked to 3.2Ghz and a P35-DS4 rev 2.0, and used my mobos p-states so it might not be the most tuned ones. I think I have some room to lower core voltage across all states.

Do note I haven't yet figured out how to make everything work using vanilla speedstep on 10.5.8 ( no sleep and an audio stutter issue, stable otherwise)
