Hey guys i'm new to mac... and i hav this few silly but basic questions..

Is mac a x64 processor or x86 processor..?

I'm using the 10.5.7(Leopord) Software...

I think it must be 64 bit as Snow leopard is 64 bit enabled and it supports earlier Macs too.

Its more like x86 CPU with extra x64 superset instructions. x64 isn't a pure/real cpu architecture.

There is no such thing as a x64 processor. All current Macs use x86-based processors that are capable of x86_64, ie. 64bit. This isn't any different from a "PC" or a non-Apple computer.

Well, not for all. At least the MacMini-CPU don't support Em64T. There may be a few more (iMacs?).

x64 is a Microsoftism, because they like to confuse things. 64bit support was added to x86 with AMD64, and EM64T is Intel's clone. Leopard comes in PowerPC (32bit and 64bit) and Intel (32bit and 64bit) versions - and Snow Leopard is entirely Intel (32bit or 64bit again, except with a 64bit kernel and programs this time).
