Hi,
I am new to Mac and needed some help. How can I have a third partition on my 320GB HDD if I need to dual boot with Win XP?
Currently using OS X 10.4.8, I cant seems to create a third partition after using bootcamp (only 2 partitions)
I tried partitioning before installing my OS X, but I cant install boot camp after that. Another has any solution? Thanks a million in advance!!

you could partition your harddisk before installation of OS X. Make sure you have a partition Fat32 or NTFS formated. Install OS X. Insert your Windows install disc. Reboot with alt pressed. Choose your windows disc and run through the installation. Choose the partition you want to use for Windows. Take care not to install it over your OS X. After you are finished you should be able to install the bootcamp drivers via your OS X DVD while you are in windows.
Be aware: if you are using Windows 7 it would be a bit tricky to get them working. Till using windows up to Vista it should be no problem.
It is not mandatory to use bootcamp under OS X to partition your Harddrive for Windows use.
If you want to install windows on a second drive you would have problems doing this with bootcamp anyway.

Thanks for the reply. I have tired that before, but I cant seems to install my windows XP. I keep having the error msg of missing hal.dll.
