Hi everybody,
I´m an absolute beginner to x86 so I´m sorry if that is a stupid question and I ´m dreaming?
I have a AJA Kona LH in a G5 that is pci-X and since that is a nice and expensive piece and the dual 2 G5 getting a museum piece, I wondered if it would be possible to find a suitable MoBo for a Hackintosh to run it at a decent speed?
If at all there is a suitable way, will there be driver problems?
Thanks for your patience
Cheers
g.
The problem will be finding working drivers. No intel mac has had ever pci-x, so there is a good chance aja creators never made an intel driver for your specific model. Anyway, the same happened to Protools HD PCI cards and surprisingly its drivers have support for pci cards in intel even tough there is no mac with pci slots.
So, all you can do is to try it by yourself (anyway finding a mobo with pci-x is not easy nowadays)
